75 Ninth Avenue between 15th and 16th, Chelsea
I finally went to Chelsea Market last Friday for the first time ever, eschewing the Y to try one of the strongest recommendations by NYC Food Guy.
NYC Food Guy recommended the pad thai, but I got #17 with chicken. I don’t even remember what it was, but here it is:

Not bad for $8.95. (I added the hot sauce.) There was a TON of chicken, and the food was piping hot when I got it. The portion was ridiculously large. I tried my best to finish, and I could only manage this much:

Very good. Perhaps too many peas.
Against my better judgment, I also ordered the Thai iced coffee, which I’ve never had before. (I’d never even heard of it before, does it exist anywhere else?!) Like its cousin Thai iced tea, it’s basically just a ton of condensed milk:

Good but not worth $2.50 and certainly not a good complement to my meal. I always drink water with food, and I should’ve listened to my gut.
Conclusion
Very delicious. Heavy emphasis on quantity, which sadly is just as important (or perhaps more important to me) as quality. I will definitely go back and try the pad thai (with my own Nalgene).
[CASH ONLY! I wasted $4 on ATM fees because the only ATM that I could find inside the place was affiliated with Citibank. Yeah, I could've walked to the nearest Chase or Bank of America, but let's be real!]
